Tim Loles bold, square, non-figurative, abstract paintings are influenced by geometric theories, and ideas on proportion, from the Greek, Renaissance (Alberti), and up to contemporary modern art. The impasto, textured brushstrokes are seemingly gestural but are more considered, done in oil on canvas or encaustic on canvas ( encaustic paint consists of pigment mixed in molten wax). There is unity in colour and composition making for distinctive and harmonious contemporary painting. Tim Lole has has shown in exhibitions with other british artists in art galleries in London, UK. This site represents the online gallery of recent abstract paintings.
